Science World Vancouver

I was later than planned. The frames at BC Place were only a few minutes behind me.

It was not the work that had held me up, but the light.

When I walked on, darkness had already advanced a good bit. Perhaps that was right. Every picture has its own character.

On the way to Science World: dusk on False Creek.

At BC Place it had been the last minutes of the blue hour. Here the night was closer.

Then the search began again. Check the position. Change the framing. Decide how much water belongs in the foreground.

The reflections were almost as important as the building itself. They stretched so far toward me that they seemed to come across the water to meet me.

Boats drove through the frame and brought movement into the reflections. The architecture stayed calm.

I had been looking for this picture. For a brief moment everything fit.
